Hand-Dyed with Oak Leaves
Organic Denim Trousers — Hand-Dyed with Oak Leaves
Crafted from organic denim, these trousers are hand-dyed in our London studio using oak leaves gathered through a seasonal ritual. Durable yet soft, they are designed to wear beautifully over time, reflecting both craftsmanship and nature’s quiet strength.
The dyeing process begins with leaves collected across different landscapes in the UK — often from familiar oak trees in local London parks. These leaves are gathered on quiet walks, set aside until the right moment, and used in small batches, following the rhythm of the seasons.
The dyeing itself takes several hours, allowing the fabric to absorb subtle earthy tones, sometimes revealing a delicate purple tint — a rare hue gifted by the oak. This natural alchemy is never exactly the same, with each pair carrying its own unique pattern and energy.
Across cultures, the oak tree is a symbol of resilience and connection to something greater — a grounding force and a bridge between the earthly and the divine. Each garment in this collection holds a quiet echo of that connection.
Since the leaves are gathered by hand and stored in limited batches, the colors and patterns will vary slightly with each piece. In spring, we often use leaves collected during the previous autumn — allowing the process to follow nature’s own cycle.
