First tool - Bag of stars

This bag is made from repurposed leather and the insert is cut from an old boat sail.

It draws inspiration from the idea of the first human tool not as weapon, but as vessel: something to carry, protect, and hold meaning.

Each piece is made in our studio using salvaged elements, stitched slowly and simply.
It’s a soft structure — for tools, objects, or stories.

"Before the tool that forcesenergy outward, we made the tool that brings energy home. Prior to the predominance of sticks, swords, and the Hero's killing tools, our ancestors' greatest invention was the container: the basket of wild oats, the medicine bundle, the nest made of your own hair, the home, the shrine, the place that contains whatever is sacred. The recipient, the holder, the story. The bag of stars."

- Ursula K. Le Guin with an introduction by Donna Haraway
