Interwoven (2019)
Interwoven draws inspiration from the intricate surfaces of rocks. By 3D scanning woven textiles, I explored new dimensions of the material, translating its forms into alternative mediums such as Jesmonite. Through this process, the expanded surfaces revealed structural similarities to rock formations.
By transforming fabric into sculptural objects, the project creates a unique dialogue between textile and sculpture, reimagining materiality and surface in unexpected ways.
Exhibited at Somerset House, 2019.
